Calendar:
We met online in August 2006 and after having what we both consider the best phone conversation we’ve ever had, at just over 3 hours, we made a date.
Our first date ended with each of us telling our friends we had just gone on the best first date ever (Tristan) and the worst first date ever (Raleigh). After Raleigh decided she just wanted to be friends, we stayed in touch and reconnected in May 2007 hanging out in the cloud room at The Camlin in downtown Seattle with Tristan’s buddy Darin talking about the highlights of the internet. It was at this point that we realized we liked hanging out with each other.
With Tristan commuting from Bainbridge to Seattle everyday, Raleigh would stay with him ever weekend dubbing her a “part-time Kitsap resident”. Raleigh grew up in Ballard thinking that across the water consisted of cabins and bears, not realizing there was life including Tristan. We moved in together in 2008 into our beloved first apartment in Greenwood.
After all these years, countless vacations, jokes, triumphs and loss, we both realized we didn’t want to face the future without each other in it. Tristan proposed while on a bike ride in Vancouver BC in May 2014.
